Vittorio Bianci worked at the Piccolo Bar for over 40 years until it’s closing in 2011. The Piccolo Bar was the oldest coffee shop in Australia and one of the first to operate 24 hours a day. It was a home away from home for many of Sydney’s Bohemian characters.

Fantastic Pics of Vitorrio: First met him at the Picollo back in 1981 whilst a young Whipper Snapper running around the Streets of the Cross- was introduced to him by guy called John Hargreaves ( RIP )- he told me that if I ever found myself in trouble to see Vitorrio- Never needed to but was good to know. Only found out Today that the Picollo had closed ( Sad ) Such a part of my life at an amazing time. Cheers
